Education has gone to the dogs:

And they do science differently!

What do you think a scientist looks like?

Our scientists have fur coats instead of lab coats, and four paws instead of hands and feet! Everyone from artists to writers, mathematicians, and detection dogs are scientists.

We developed the  Rogue Education Outreach Program to encourage students to think differently about science, and just like our RogueDogs do things differently, our hope is to inspire diversity in this fascinating and unique field.

 Let’s break the mold together!

The dogs that we rescue are the supposed misfits, or Rogues, of the shelter world, deemed unsuitable for home life due to their obsession with playing fetch. Their personality makes them ideal as conservation detection dogs, canine scientists who uncover new discoveries one sniff at a time.

Let’s have a ball with science!

The rapscallion RogueDogs embark on adventures in the name of science and are our inspiration behind Rogue’s outreach program.

Let’s make science approachable!

We Rogues LOVE to explore and learn about the great outdoors. We have put together this authentic and exciting curriculum, based on Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) through the lens of our detection dogs.

We seek to incorporate STEM ideas with artistic and creative thinking to provide well-rounded units that will engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds.

Our curriculum packets lead students through an adventure story that features our RogueDog “Co-Woofers'' as characters and incorporates nature and concepts that will challenge budding scientists.

Let’s inspire our future!

A Rogue dog's journey from shelter to a working dog is a true inspiration for students on their own personal journey to discovering their dreams.
